Clubs
IS YOUR KID CLIMBING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT?!
Session’s after-school & weekend climbing clubs, Monkey Club (6-10yrs.) and Senders Club (11-16yrs.), are a bunch of fun and a great opportunity for children new to climbing to begin learning the skills necessary to climb safely, the technique used to climb efficiently, and to gain confidence in themselves in a social and collaborative environment. It’s a great way to spend time off from school and an experience they’ll remember and benefit from for years to come! Club’s practice once per week for 1.5 hours and is a recurring monthly subscription.
Academies
IS YOUR YOUNG CLIMBER READY TO TAKE THEIR CLIMBING TO THE NEXT LEVEL?
Academy programs are the perfect next step for young climbers looking to build their focus, skills, and strength. Monkey Academy (6-10yrs.) and Senders Academy (11-16yrs.) meet for 8 consecutive weeks, once a week, for 2 hours of focused progression through curriculum designed to create competent, confident young climbers well-versed in safety, rope skills, movement technique, climbing vocabulary, and more. Enrollment in Academy programs are available once every 2 months, so be sure to plan ahead!
Classes will be rescheduled if only one participant signs up.
Competition Climbing Teams
The Session competitive team introduces young climbers to the world of competitive climbing. Coaches work closely with climbers to improve their climbing technique, problem-solving skills, and physical strength. In the Fall and Spring, participants of the competitive teams are required to compete in the Northern California Youth Climbing League (YCL) or USA Climbing (USAC) elite series. We aim to foster a positive introduction to, and a lifelong love of, competitive climbing!
Recreation Climbing Teams
The purpose of these teams is to help climbers develop a love for the sport while teaching the basic techniques necessary to become well-rounded climbers. Climb with fellow young climbers in a social, relaxed environment! Our Sender’s Academy is the perfect place to build a foundation for joining the team.
